In your role as Product Manager Silencers, you have the responsibility for the product range Silencers and are responsible for ensuring the profitable growth of the category. You report to the Product Manager Ventilation Products. To drive the product category forward you will work closely with customers, sales units, R&D, production, product management and marketing. More or less every day you will be in contact with colleagues from across Europe and some travel will be required.

Main tasks/areas of responsibility:

Understand the customer’s needs as well as legal or similar demands, mainly through being close to the customer but also by working with each sales unit’s product manager for the category
Make sure that the product area is up to date according to sustainability standards and strategies.
Secure that this understanding and knowledge is translated into a product portfolio strategy that ensures that we maximize sales and profitability.
Work closely with R&D to make sure there are solutions in pipeline for future products.
Monitor the sales and gross profit development and initiate actions if the development is not satisfactory.
Initiate new product development projects by making prognoses on sales, create business cases and take part in or lead projects.
Ensure that all necessary documents, descriptions, marketing material, IT-tools, BIM databases etc. are satisfactory and up-to-date and meet the market laws and rules.
Participate in customer tours and events as well as product information and, if judged necessary, in sales events in the sales units.
Responsible for educations[
Monitor new technologies and trends.
Carry out ad hoc tasks in cooperation/agreement with manager.
 

Your background
We believe that you have experience from a similar role, preferably industrial B2B-products. You have an academic degree, most likely a Master of Science in engineering or business administration. Since we operate in an international environment, you are fluent in English.

Your personal qualities
Customer focus and a strong drive to reach goals combined with a business acumen are necessary to secure the success of the category. You are expected to act where it is needed, like a “CEO of the category” and many times it will be up to yourself to fix things. I din roll som produktutvecklare är du med och ser till Lindab och våra kunder har dom bästa produkterna på marknaden. På Lindab kan vi stolt säga att vi äger hela kedjan, allt från utveckling och tillverkning till försäljning av färdig produkt. Du kommer utgöra en viktig del av vår utvecklingsavdelning där du arbetar nära med övriga på avdelningen samt samverkar med andra funktioner så som produktionsteknik, produktchefer, produktionschefer, försäljning etc.

 

Exempel på arbetsuppgifter/ansvarsområden:

Designa och utveckla nya produkter för Lindab Profils sortiment
Utveckla och förbättra befintliga produkter i Lindabs produktportfölj 
Projektledning, både som projektledare och projektmedlem
Arbeta med certifiering av Lindabs produkter
Utarbeta teknisk dokumentation och informationsmaterial kring detta.
Dimensionera produkterna så att de uppfyller gällande lagkrav
Följa utvecklingen inom Lindabs produktområde med avseende på ny teknik och nya regelverk.
Informera, supportera och utbilda säljorganisationen gällande Lindabs produkter och produktsystem


Din bakgrund
Du har en ingenjörsutbildning i botten samt 5-10 års erfarenhet från beskrivna arbetsuppgifter, där du är trygg med de olika faserna i produktutvecklingsprocessen. Du har erfarenhet från industriell produktion och har god förståelse för den produktionstekniska processen i en större industri. För att lyckas i rollen krävs även goda kunskaper i CAD, (gärna Creo) vidare ser vi även att du har en god vana vid att arbeta projektorienterat, både som projektmedlem och projektledare.

Meriterande är byggtekniska kunskaper och erfarenhet från byggbranschen och plåtslageri, samt erfarenhet från att arbeta med beräkningsmetoden FEM.

Du har goda kunskaper i såväl svenska som engelska i både tal och skrift samt goda kunskaper i Office-paketet.

We are strengthening our product development team and are now looking for you as Development Engineer. Are you a technically curious person who like to try your way out to find new solutions? Your new job
In the role as Development Engineer you will be an important part of our product development team for ventilation duct systems within Ventilation Products. Together with other colleagues in the team, you form the basis for our product development and technical support towards our business units within the Group. We can offer you a stimulating work environment where you have great opportunities to alternate both practical and theoretical work. Together with other development engineers you are placed in connection to our test lab for ventilation ducts, where you are given the opportunity to practice and bounce off your ideas and creativity directly.

You will have an important role as a contributor in technical projects, from the prototype stage to a finished product where you hand over to our sales department. Another part of the work also consists of educating and supporting our internal business units, learning everything amazing there is to know about our products!

Your main responsibilities and assignments

       Participate in development projects in the field of ventilation duct system with focus on electronics and controls.
       Handle claims for technical products both from distance and direct by projects and customers.
       Establish and administrate technical documentation.
       Participate in customer events, product information and customer tours
       Participate, if necessary, in sales events in selected countries
       Set up internal and external education material and hold internal training.
       Technical support to business units.
       Cooperation and coordination with other technical departments within the support team
       Perform tests before releases of apps 
Your background
We believe that you have an upper secondary school or University education within engineering, alternative you have a technical background and experience from corresponding work tasks . We find it meritorious if you have experience from building projects with BMS and commissioning. Also, general knowledge in HVAC, as well as experience in manufacturing, metal/sheet metal processing are meritorious. Since we operate in an international arena, you can express yourself in English in speech and writing in addition to the Swedish language.
